vanguard is very hard to raise, where as all the other, even asuran, is much easier to raise. so i would go for vanguard

Repeated VQ of Sacnoth Valley is still a LOT quicker for FF than ordinary asura or dwarf grinding (and don't come saying that you get a lot of asura points for raptor farming).

If there is a specific armor that you'd like, I would personally say hand it to that allegiance, however - Vanguard does have some of the best PvE skills so if armor isn't a problem then go for that route .

if you max your vanguard title don't do it for this reason.
ebon sniper support is fun but it's pretty bad.

Assassin Support, Battle Standard of Honor, Battle Standard of Wisdom, Ebon Escape for scammers....so yeah, I think Vanguard is one of the better ones.

Thats a damn good incentive for raising ebon vanguard. How many other skills earn you easy rare items?
I agree though, dwarven title is dead easy since you get it automatically from vanquishing dungeons, while asura and norn you have pretty good and fast farms. Charr can also be a pain in the ass to grind through for a h/h group compared to the other areas where you can c-space through.

If you're looking to max all the rep titles, you'll thank yourself for turning them in for ebon vanguard. Everything else is far easier, but maxing the ebon one is a beast.

Sniper support is terrible in anything that doesn't have stupid amounts of charr.

I found it useful H/Hing vloxen HM.
About handbooks, it goes to all of them for me. Cause I get bored farming. I'd leave Dwarf rep last though since dungeons increase it.

am i the only one who thinks that asura spells are better than ebon ?
pain inverter is almost as good as SV against bosses and it is not an elite.
did anyone try to cast meteor shower with mindbender ?
2 AoE spells spreading conditions, and the summons !
and another thing, what do you think about profession-specific titles ( warriors->norn, spellcasters->asura ) ?

I have to say the most boring faction grind was dwarven. How many times can you do snowmans lair over and over and it provides hardly many points (800 I think). With Norn run you get like 6k points if I remember correctly. With Vq Sactnoth Valley 7,5k vanguard. Asuran you can do VQ and raptor farming. Dungeons do not provide high enough values of dwarven reputation. I would go for deldrimor really.

Really? I got most of my points from completing dungeons in both NM and HM. Ah well, different people, different experiences.
I personally donated mine to Vanguard, because everything else was easier - more places to vq for Norn and Asura, dungeons in both HM and NM for dwarven. The really big jump that went to Vanguard was my HM Dungeon Guide - after that I just vanquished during double weekend to finish it up. Asura I earned with a couple of handbooks and vanquishes.

well, kind of hard for me to pick because all the toons I use frequently have max in all the reps. But in general I'd say use books on vanguard or asuran, since delver and norn can be maxed easily elsewhere. (Delver = do dungeons to max the others, or focus farm arachni/shards of orr fendi nin without killing him for infinite delver.) Norn the path to revelations farm never required ursan noobs anyways... you can h/h that run.
For my casters, the pve skills I usually run are ebon assassin, YMLAD, and finish him!. So it's actually vanguard and norn for my casters in most places since those three skills synergize best with an AP nuker. For some other bars like SH nukes I'll run mindbender and ebon honor to buff damage. TBH asuran summons are a waste of a spot compared to vanguard sin which you can resummon as often as it recharges (great with AP since I've had 5 sins at once before.) Pain inverter is also very overrated - why waste a pve slot on a skill which is only good if your team fails? The better you are, the less need for PI... ele bosses for example shouldn't be allowed to cast their AoE in the first place. Techno is still nice though from the asuran line if you want some daze, and the new extend conditions syncs well with it...
basically, it's preference. Which skills do you see yourself using the most? Pick that line, max it first. Or go to r8 first since that's so easy to do and with the update pve skills at r8 are still pro.

Not to much Maybe Max Vangaurd on Sin, and Para, and maybe Norn on ele for speedclears.
As for points go I will probably be in on some guild Sacnoth VQ. and might try that HNPF where you run the heros there and they do all the work.

Well, if i still needed to max Vanguard, I'd go to Sacnoth valley, kill around 200 foes, then kill all the bosses in the fort. Should net you with a hefty chunk of rep.
